to airlift は形容詞的用法の不定詞で airlift は「空輸する」という意味の動詞です。この動詞の目的語が Americans and their allies です。
to safety は「安全な場所へ」という意味で、airlift … to ～（…を～に空輸する）という構文になっています。この safety は「安全な場所」という名詞です。

within 24 hours と in 24 hours と区別して覚えておきましょう。within は「～以内に」という範囲を表しますが、in は「～したら」という完了の時点を表します。

音声の文字起こしをしたアメリカ人スタッフは Nations を小文字で始めて送ってきましたが、それでは「G7の国々」という意味になり、次の is という単数動詞にそぐわないと考え、大文字で表記することにしました。こうすれば「７か国のグループ」となり、単数を表します。

sought は seek（探し求める、模索する、～しようとする）の過去分詞。過去形も同じ形です。
extension は extend（延長する）の名詞形。

仮定法過去の文です。「撤退を延長しないのが当然だろう」という意味になっています。
White House officials said Monday they’re in daily contact with the Taliban. National Security advisor Jake Sullivan told reporters that those talks concern [quote] “every aspect of what’s happening in Kabul right now.”

aspect は「様相、側面」。

flown は fly の過去分詞。ここでは fly は「～を飛行機輸送する」という意味の他動詞で使っています。

concerning は「～に関しては」という意味の前置詞です。
taking this day by day「これを日々考えている」
day by day は「日々、毎日」で、this day ではありません。
make his determinations as we go「状況に合わせて決断する」
as we go は「我々が進むままに」ということで、「状況に合わせて」となります。つまり、状況次第では撤退を延期するかもしれないということです。
In an interview with Britain’s Sky News, Taliban spokesman Suhail Shaheen said that the US extends the deadline, in his words, “that means they are extending occupation.”

これよりも前に述べている extends the deadline（期限を延ばす）ということは「駐留し続ける」ということになります。
